Westside Internal Medicine

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned

  1. Greets patients upon arrival.*
  2. Responsible for verifying insurance and collecting co-pays, deductibles and balances due.*
  3. Collect and post charges and payments.*
  4. Obtain prior authorizations for procedures performed in house and other facilities.*
  5. Answers multi-line telephone in a courteous and timely manner.*
  6. Ensures appointment slots are filled in accordance with scheduling guidelines.*
  7. Maintains telephone call list to notify patients of availability or changes in appointment time, reschedules accordingly.*
  8. Maintains up to date HIPAA forms on all patients.*
  9. Checks messages upon arrival to the office and follows up on calls as necessary.*
  10. Scans patients tests, patient information and office notes into system.*
  11. Processes daily receivable cash and credit cards.*
  12. Prepares new patient packets.
  13. Assists clinical staff with rooming patients and checking vitals.
  14. Performs other job duties as assigned.
