EDGEFIELD COUNTY HOSPITAL
FULL TIME ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES SUPERVISOR
Work Hours: Monday- Friday 6:00am-2:30pm
•Inspects cleaning carts for approved chemicals, proper set-up and proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
•Inspects discharged room cleanings, document findings, coach, correct and counsel as needed. Inspect isolation discharged rooms that have been cleaned.
•Completes patient rounding on assigned areas to meet patient satisfaction goals and to hear needs of the patient and family members. Documents concerns and passes along to proper leaders or department directors.
•Responsible for conducting small group meetings (huddles) to share information and get feedback from team members. Responsible for training new team members and orienting them to their assigned areas.
•Must be knowledgeable of proper chemical use at recommended dilution rates. Must be knowledgeable of telephone and paging system. Must be knowledgeable of treatment for exposure to chemical and pathogens.
•Completes all mandatory requirements within established timeframes and attends required meetings. Examples: Annual Health Tests, Educode, Flu Shots, Corporate Compliance Training and departmental competencies.
•Helps to ensure that department meets financial goals by down staffing, by using chemicals, supplies and equipment in an efficient manner, reports maintenance issues in a timely manner, initiates action and follows through.
•Responsible for ordering Linen and maintaining a 6% soil to clean ratio.
Position Minimal Qualification:
•Previous experience required.
•High school Diploma or equivalent.
•Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Technician preferred.
